EVENT: PROJEKT BAUHAUS WERKSTATT / DATATOPIA SUMMER SCHOOL

Projekt Bauhaus Werkstatt by ARCH+  / Datatopia Summer School of the KIT Chair for Architekturtheorie Karlsruhe will occupy the spaces of the Floating University from Aug 30 – Sep 2.

After the preliminary course “From Bauhaus to Silicon Valley” last year, this summer projekt bauhaus revives the Bauhaus’s workshop structure in order to explore the emancipatory potential of technology, to question the idea of progress, and to formulate a critique of the present through design.

Projekt Bauhaus Werkstatt/Datatopia will be hosting lectures, workshops, installations, and performances by Morehshin Allahyari, Alliance of Southern Triangle, Armen Avanessian, Nicolay Boyadjiev, Benjamin Bratton, Beatriz Colomina, Brave New Alps, Keller Easterling, Shirin Fahimi, Victoria Ivanova, Armin Linke, Olaf Nicolai, Öffentliche Gestaltungsberatung, T'ai Smith, Ida Soulard, Georg Vrachliotis, Eyal Weizman, Ines Weizman, Mark Wigley, students and scholars from Columbia University, Princeton University, HFBK Hamburg, and participants of the Datatopia Summer School of the Chair for Architekturtheorie Karlsruhe.
