An architectural and media-theoretical investigation of the smartphone as the New Architecture Machine (NAM) of the 21st century. Furthermore a newly updated Pattern Language was developed in which Christopher Alexander's patterns were used to decipher the environments of the NAM and thus record them as equivalent architectural facts. Their collage culminates in the design in order to comment on and discuss the spatial potentials of the NAM.
